There are many reasons people seek out therapy. Whether you are seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, wanting to create change in your life and relationships, or just needing support during a difficult life transition I am here to provide empathy, support, and guidance. Finding a therapist you feel safe and comfortable with is an important part of successful therapy. As a therapist, I believe in the power of relationship and value the importance of knowing not only your goals for therapy but also knowing you as a person. I strive to provide a safe, comfortable, and warm environment so you can feel empowered to explore the deeper aspects of yourself and recognize your inner strength to own and tell your story. I am an energetic, nature-loving, and open minded individual who appreciates honesty, clear communication, and humor.
I inherently believe that you are the expert in your own life and have the ability and resources to make positive changes. Although the makeup of therapy looks different for every individual, my basic approach always includes a focus on identifying and developing your strengths and resources to address the problem at hand and keeping you in the “driver seat” through your journey. I provide individualized treatment by utilizing a variety of techniques and approaches depending on your own goals, personality, and comfort. Some of these techniques include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution focused, narrative and experiential (Gestalt) work, and Person-Centered Therapy in order to tailor an individual’s therapy experiences to their specific needs. I place a strong emphasis on the connection of mind-body-spirit, addressing negative or dysfunctional core beliefs that often lead to behaviors that cause damage in our lives, and cultivating self-love and compassion.
