Hi! Welcome to Counseling Services for Wellbeing. My name is Oyeronke Ajiboye-Lala. You can call me Ronke. I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C). With 20+ years of healthcare experience, I am well-versed in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a variety of mental health disorders in adults and older adults via medication management and brief therapy.
I received my undergraduate nursing degree in 2009 from Georgia Southern University and practiced as in psychiatric, emergency, and inpatient settings before pursing an advanced practice career. I graduated in December 2013 from Indiana State University with my master’s degree in nursing and became board certified as a family nurse practitioner in February 2014. I returned to Georgia Southern University to obtain my post masters certificate in psychiatric mental health nursing in Dec 2017. I became board certified as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner PMHNP in March 2018.
Nursing is my first career and I still love nursing. I was drawn to psychiatry while working as a Family Nurse Practitioner and I became more passionate when I realized how undertreated mentally ill people are and how stigmatization has prevented them from seeking the help they desperately need.
I combine evidence-based treatment and individual’s specific needs to create the best plan of care for each client. I look forward to meeting you on your journey to wellness.
